It is small, lightweight, ergonomically shaped and it records high quality EEG (or EOG, EMG , ECG) signals without compromise. Our ESIS offers the most convenient way available today for you and your patient to obtain reliable EEG and sleep data, over 12 or 24 hours or more, at home or ambulatory.
The 12 channel EEG screener first of all records up to 10 channels of referential EEG, for instance in a complementary follow-up screening in epileptic patients. With attachable external battery packs you may extend and hot-swap the recording even over several days. Secondly, you may use a sleep montage including 5 or 6 EEG's, 2 EOG's, 1 or 2 EMG's and ECG. Optionally you may connect an SpO2/Pulse wave device to rule out OSA. Third, you can run a sleep montage over 24 hours to be able to record daytime sleepiness possibly being associated with insomnia.
With the Vitaport ESIS screener you get a high quality and versatile screening instrument. The amplifiers aboard are designed to couple minimal noise (< 0.3 uV RMS) and an amazing >120dB 50/60 Hz humble rejection to wide bandwidth (0.1 - 70 Hz) and dynamic range, digitized with 16-bit resolution. This is mandatory to enable noise-free capture of EEG level signals and to cope with demands of ambulatory and in-home recording.

First, the recorder writes onto flash card in EDF format. So you may use your own EEG reader software for analysis. Optionally, the screener comes with basic Vitascore software which has been designed for efficient manual scoring via multiple synchronized time-base displays (i.e.10 seconds, 3 minutes, 4 hours). The workflow management system is designed to give you full control on the various steps in the route of a study through the lab.
The optional Sleep analysis module is based on Rechtschaffen and Kales and ASDA Criteria, yielding a pre-analysis of the sleep stages and micro-arousals (classified as of central, motoric or autonomic nature) and of PLM's. On top, if the SpO2 was attached and an ECG was available in the montage, Vitascore, complementary to the Heart Rate (and detected Tachy- and BradyCardia, and Extra Systole), also detects desaturation and yields the Pulse Transit Time. As a last option, you may run the EEG FFT analysis module yielding (artifact removed) spectra averaged over the sleep stages; they may serve as a quantitative tool for monitoring the effect of pharmaco treatment.
